Anti-Spam ISP Edition

Effective, centralized filtration

Kaspersky Anti-Spam ISP Edition has been developed to meet the specific needs of Internet Service Providers, and the challenge presented by significant volumes of mail. The antispam system is capable of handling traffic in environments where the number of users and the volume of mail can fluctuate from average to extremely heavy in a short period of time. The program can check up to 2 million incoming messages over a 24 hour period.

Kaspersky Anti-Spam ISP edition offers ISP providers an effective centralized antispam solution. The program detects spam in incoming mail transmitted by SMTP and filters it out before mail is forwarded to the recipient.

Multi-level filtration

The solution analyses and filters incoming both mail body and attachments in a variety of ways, including:

  • formal attributes: sender address, recipient address, sender''s IP address, size, format etc.
  • search for words and phrases typically used by spammers
  • SpamTest™ technology: a unique linguistic kernel compares incoming mail against sample spam signatures. The database of lexical signatures is updated every two hours
  • Realtime Blackhole Lists: filters mail by officially blacklisted addresses as well as using local black and white lists created by administrators
  • analysis of graphics
  • detection of atypical spammer tricks: HTML tags, invisible text, etc.

Flexible administration

An in-built administration module based on a web-interface allow you to modify program settings from any node in the network e.g. change settings for automatic spam database updates or directly add new templates to the database.

Linguistic database updates

One of the core elements of Kaspersky Anti-Spam is a linguistic database, containing spam signatures. Updates are released every two hours. Upgrades to Kaspersky Anti-Spam also include upgraded versions of the linguistic kernel.
